If you've never tried field archery before this event is a good introduction. Yes, there are medals to be won, but the emphasis is on enjoying a day’s shooting in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
The round is 28 (2x 14 with a lunch break in between) animal picture targets that are shot at from MARKED DISTANCES in the range of 20ft to 60yds (Junior: 15-17yrs max distance = 50yd; Cub: 14yrs and under max distance 30yd.) The distance shot is in direct proportion to the size of the scoring areas.
